He has served in various capacities in Klang Port Authority over 33 years. In this respect he has wide experience in port planning, development, operations, corporate marketing, and strategic logistics planning. The last position held in Klang Port Authority was as Assistant General Manager for Corporate Services. Besides this, he has served in various National Planning and coordination committees within the government with special emphasis on transport and logistics related matters. He was actively involved in the privatization of Klang Port Authority’s services and also participated in the government’s post privatisation study on the impact of port privatization. During this period he has served as a member of the IAPH Port Planning Committee, and has undertaken port related research, and investment projects within the port and overseas. After his retirement  from government service (Klang Port Authority) in 2005, he has participated in a number of consultancy projects and training activities. He has participated with MIMA in the Port Competitiveness Study in East Malaysian Port (2006/2007) and has carried out other transport and logistics related studies.
